Today…Fall Forward

trip behind

We often say that “Hindsight is 20/20.” We also often use it as a negative. It is usually prefaced with “I should have… “, but now it is “too late.” Learn how to use 20/20 hindsight in a positive and forward way. Realize that today is your 20/20 hindsight tomorrow and every day going forward. You cannot change the past, nor can you predict the future. There is only 1 time when you have any control… NOW! Take some action today to make tomorrow better.

Today…Choose to Be Quiet.

So much time and energy is wasted on mindless, unnecessary disagreement. Create a new habit today. Every time you are about to open your mouth, whether to give a new thought or respond to someone else’s thought, take a breath. The difference between reacting and responding is 1 breath. You will be amazed at how much energy you retain simply by choosing to breath. Don’t think about it, just do it. The understanding is in the experience.

Today…Decide What to Water (and DO IT!)

We all have the same amount of time today…24 hours.  From the most successful person you know to the biggest bum you know…24 hours.  It is not HOW MUCH time we have that sometimes gets in the way.  Rather, it is WHAT WE DO WITH that time, which determines whether things are being accomplished or not.  It is not that you need more time.  What you need is to honestly look at what you are doing.  You can guarantee that you are doing things every day (out of habit) that are completely not necessary and getting in your way.  Identify one.  That is your assignment today.  Identify one thing you do that accomplishes nothing.  Then, replace it with one thing you want to begin doing…and begin to water that.

You are over-thinking everything!

Get Clarity…Get Moving…Get Results.

Today…Dump the Minutia!

Today...Dump the Minutia!

Too often, when we approach anything, our autopilot reaction is to make the situation at hand a lot bigger than it actually is. We “what if” it to death. But notice, we never ANSWER the “what if;” we just ask it. That default makes it feel as if the situation is a big deal and out of hand before we have even started thinking about it! STOP…THINK. Any time you run into something about which you need to make a decision, stop and ask yourself this question; “what am I trying to do.” When you simply stop your spiraling thinking and make yourself see WHY you are thinking about the situation at hand, you are quickly able to throw all of the minutia off the table and get to the point. We do not “get to the point” in our culture. We belabor everything to the point of confusion. Get rid of the belaboring and you get rid of the confusion.

Today...Check Your Attitude!

Everything has 2 sides. You can CHOOSE to see the negative or you can CHOOSE to see the positive. The beauty of being your own problem is that you are also your own solution…it is a choice. Are you choosing wisely?

Today...Just Do It!

It takes SO much more time to THINK about it and TALK about it than it does to just DO it. Get rid of the minutia and move on!

Day 21 – How to “Get Out of Your Own Way” Today

Want to know the really, really COOL secret? YOU are an acre of diamonds. Why?  NOBODY is like you. When you try and “fit in” and look like everybody else, how  much competition did you just create for yourself? THAT certainly does not sound  like a way to success, does it? It is a 180 from what you are used to thinking  and hearing, right? However, when you begin to realize that the ONLY people who  EVER become “successful” (whatever that means to them) are the ones who choose  to be different. They choose to “buck the system” and “take some risks.” They  make a conscious decision at some point to be themselves. That is when they  thrive.

Ready to Thrive?
